This week we want to jump back into our deskercising routine and expand it, doing the same thing day-after-day can be boring so let’s mix it up. Remember, if you are not able or willing to do these physically you can get benefit from mentally doing them as well. The key to the mental exercise is to make sure you are vividly imagining. Imagining in 1080p resolution on a 80” screen in your mind, just like you were actually doing them.
First up this week – The Half-Bear Hug
Gently hug one knee at a time to your chest. Feel the stretch in the back of your thigh and lower back. After you’ve done each leg grab them both and hug. This will take you back to your childhood when you are learning to do somersaults.
Next – The Olympic Diver
In this exercise you are going to clasp your hands together and straight out in front of you. Lower your head so they are in line with your arms and stretch forward. You can pretend that you actually know how to dive and truly impressive your cube mates.
You will feel the stretch in your upper and mid back as you stretch forward. Count to 10 then relax and repeat several times.
Next week more deskercising and links to video(s) showing some other routines that you might want to try.
Till then make it a great week.
